How to Prepare Your Property for Tree Removal Day

A week before
- Confirm the scope in writing: which trees, and whether cleanup, haul-away and stump grinding are included.

- Tell your neighbors, especially if limbs hang over their property or trucks will block the street.
- Ask about access: gate width, driveway use, and whether a bucket truck or crane is needed.
The day before
- Move vehicles out of the driveway and away from the tree.
- Clear the drop zone: patio furniture, grills, planters, toys and decorations.
- Mark sprinkler heads, irrigation lines, septic areas and invisible fences.
- Unlock gates, and make sure there's a clear path for the crew.
On the day
- Keep kids and pets indoors and away from the work zone.

- Point out anything fragile you forgot to mention.
After
- Walk the yard with the crew lead before they leave.
